Aya Hisakawa (久川 綾, Hisakawa Aya, born November 12, 1968 in Kaizuka, Osaka) is a Japanese voice actor affiliated with Aoni Production. Having been active since 1988, she even began a singing career in 1993 and has released solo CDs under the label VAP. Though married, the identity of her spouse is unknown.
As a child, Hisakawa was inspired to take up voice acting after watching Farewell to Space Battleship Yamato for the first time. She attended the Katsuta Voice Actor's Academy during her high school years and furthered her training at the Tokyo branch of Aoni Jyuku. Her hobbies include gaming and going to hot springs. She is also a certified pet consultant and vegetable sommelier.
Hisakawa made her debut voicing sweet and innocent characters, but over the years has been voicing more mature women as of late. Some of her roles have her speak in her native Kansai dialect. She is known as the voice of Sailor Mercury in the original Sailor Moon series, Cerberus in Cardcaptor Sakura, and Palutena in Kid Icarus: Uprising.
