Affiliation: Guardians of Peace

History[]

We know that Bailuan was in line to become the next village chief of the Guardians of Peace village. Since he is wearing the Guardians of Peace sash we can infer that he completed training to be a Guardian of Peace, able to go out on missions.

At an undefined time—though we can infer that it is before the Yellow Turban Rebellion—the village of the Guardians of Peace was attacked and destroyed by the Han. Bailuan escaped the destruction and met “the people of the North,” which may be the Wuhuan. If you play all available story branches you learn that Bailuan had contact with both the Wuhuan in the north and the Shanyue in the south. There are warriors who hold Bailuan in very high regard, willing to come to his aid if he asked.

By the time Wanderer/Ziluan encounters Bailuan again he has grown up but still very young. He his full of rage, hatred and pain in his encounters with Wanderer/Ziluan in the present time. Bailuan is set against the Han for revenge while also continuing to pursue bringing peace to eye realm, but from the shadows. This has brought Bailuan into conflict with Wanderer/Ziluan. But there is some resolution after a few confrontations.

Personality[]

In Wanderer/Ziluan’s memories Bailuan appears to be settled into his role as the incoming village chief. He even has influence amongst the village elders to influence a decision despite his young age.

Years later and the pain and suffering Bailuan has experienced has darkened his personality. He can be calm but is viciously pained and angry when it comes to the Han and those suffering under them.

Abilities[]

Bailuan has the combat training of the Guardians of Peace. So far we have only seen him use a sword. He also knows the incense arts of the Guardians of Peace. He is always using them in Wanderer/Ziluan’s encounters in the game, using them to disorient the senses of others and summon phantom soldiers.
