Name literally translated as "crimson moon".

Benizuki (紅月) is one of the main characters for the single player narrative. She can fight beside the protagonist during hunts in the single player main story and she is placed fifth in Famitsu's character popularity survey.

Role in Game

Benizuki is the strongest Slayer from Mahoroba who is one of the "Five Heroes", or five Slayers, that fought exceptionally during the "Awakening".

Personality

Benizuki has a gentle demeanor and a wild streak. She harbors a dark side due to a past incident where she killed the leader of Mahoroba, whom is in the state of being a half-demon and half-human. 

Etymology

• The name Benizuki means "vermillion red, deep red, crimson" (紅) (beni) and "moon" (月) (tsuki/zuki).
