After the events of Dressrosa are resolved, he pledges his loyalty to Luffy, and becomes the captain of the first ship of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. Cavendish suffers from a split personality disorder, transforming into his bloodthirsty alter ego Hakuba when he's asleep. Cavendish used to be the prince of the Bourgeoise Kingdom, from which he was exiled for Hakuba's actions.

Fighting StyleEdit

Although he does not possess the powers of a Devil Fruit, Cavendish is an excellent fighter to a superhuman degree. He is a proficient swordsman, having been dubbed a "genius of the sword", wielding one of the Named Swords, Durandal. Cavendish is able to produce ranged sword attacks by creating powerful compressed air slashes that can cleanly slice through matter. Due to his split personality disorder, Hakuba awakens when Cavendish falls asleep. Hakuba is said to be twice the fighter that Cavendish is, and is much more bloodthirsty and doesn't show restraint. Hakuba is tremendously fast, moving too quickly for the naked eye to see. Even users of Observation Haki have a hard time tracking him. Hakuba is so fast that he is dubbed the "Slicing Winds of Rommel", named after an incident in the Rommel Kingdom where they thought the wind was slashing people (when it turned out to be Hakuba).
