"White Knight" Cavendish (キャベンディッシュ, Kyabendisshu), also known as the Pirate Noble, is one of the Super Rookies, and is the captain of the Beautiful Pirates. He is first introduced as a participant in the Corrida Colosseum, battling for the Flame-Flame Fruit. After the events of Dressrosa are resolved, he pledges his loyalty to Luffy, and becomes the captain of the first ship of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. Cavendish suffers from a split personality disorder, transforming into his bloodthirsty alter ego Hakuba when he's asleep. Cavendish used to be the prince of the Bourgeoise Kingdom, from which he was exiled because the women of the kingdom refused to marry anyone else because of his beauty.

He then unleashes a flurry of simultaneous slashes, then finishes with a slash to the right. As Hakuba, all his moves are enhanced with additional slashes.

• Nobleman's Brilliance: Cavendish's Full-Force Burst
• Hakuba: Transformation. Cavendish falls asleep and shifts into his Hakuba personality, slashing rapidly around himself in the process. His attacks become faster and enhanced with extra slashes (see above for details). He also gains three new special attacks:
  • Hakuba slashes around himself, then launches several cross-slash projectiles forward.
  • Hakuba dashes forward a short distance while slashing around himself.
  • Musou attack. Hakuba darts forward, covering the area ahead of him with quick slashes.
• Half & Half: Musou attack. Cavendish slips into a "half-Hakuba" state, then rapidly strikes the area in front.
• Biken: Blue Bird: Musou attack. Cavendish readies his sword, then performs a powerful forward thrust.
• Biken: Saint Exupéry: Cavendish launches a cross-slash projectile forward.
• Precious Metal Axe: Cavendish performs a series of four slashes, then another slash which manifests multiple cuts at once.
• Nobleman's Authority: Cavendish sheathes his sword and does a pose, stunning nearby foes with his appearance.
• Scent of a Rose: Cavendish pulls out a rose and smells it, regaining some health.
• Whirlwind: Cavendish briefly transforms into Hakuba, who runs forward while slashing rapidly before changing back.

Fighting Style

Although he does not possess the powers of a Devil Fruit, Cavendish is an excellent fighter to a superhuman degree. He is a proficient swordsman, having been dubbed a "genius of the sword", wielding one of the Named Swords, Durandal. Cavendish is able to produce ranged sword attacks by creating powerful compressed air slashes that can cleanly slice through matter. Due to his split personality disorder, Hakuba awakens when Cavendish falls asleep. Hakuba is said to be twice the fighter that Cavendish is, and is much more bloodthirsty and doesn't show restraint. Hakuba is tremendously fast, moving too quickly for the naked eye to see. Even users of Observation Haki have a hard time tracking him. Hakuba is so fast that he is dubbed the "Slicing Winds of Rommel", named after an incident in the Rommel Kingdom where they thought the wind was slashing people (when it turned out to be Hakuba). When transformed into Hakuba, all of his attacks become much faster and stronger, with additional sword slashes accompanying each one.
