100man-nin no Harukanaru Toki no Naka de (100万人の遙かなる時空の中で, Hyakuman-nin no Harukanaru Toki no Naka de, roughly translated as "One Million People's Within a Disappearing Time") is the social game adaptation of the first Haruka. Unless the player desires to make micro-transactions, the game is free-to-play for Mobage, Yahoo!Japan, or my GAMECITY users.

The main story is a revised retelling of the first game's plot. The protagonist is given a minute alteration to her mission: she must assemble the Dragon God Pieces to summon the Dragon God. She and her comrades continue to foil the Demon Clan in their mission to restore peace to the parallel world's capital. Every returning romanceable male character has new scenarios exclusive to the social game.

Gameplay[]

General[]

Players press the enter key (mobile) or left mouse click (PC) to confirm their actions in the game. The only music is Monogatari no Hajimari (main menu music), which can be turned on or off in the main menu. The game is free to play, but micro payments are given to restorative items, tickets, and avatar customization. Free players can earn many of the paid content by completing or performing well during limited events.

Players can rename their protagonist yet she remains an unchangeable Akane skin. Each priestess has eight main parameters:

Name Description
Energy
(行動力)
Expendable movement value for walking in capital or completing limited time events. Both outlets increase the required energy amount as the player progresses. 1 energy restores naturally every 3 minutes. An option to use a healing item appears once energy is used.
Attack Spirit
(攻霊)
Spiritual power expended for PvP battles or vengeful spirit fights. Does not serve as a clear indication of the user's offensive power.
Defense Spirit
(防霊)
Spiritual power used to defend avatar or for special vengeful spirit fights. Does not serve as a clear indication of the user's defensive power.
Experience
(経験)
Self-explanatory. Current and points needed for the next avatar level are indicated. Once it peaks, the avatar levels up and restores the first three parameters to optimum levels. A set amount of Cost is added to their decks (varies each level).
Gacha Point(s)
(ガチャpt)
Common free method of obtaining cards. 200 points is used to draw a single random card; 9,000 points calls forth a rare guardian card. 10 cards can be drawn from both roulettes (2,000 for 10 random and 90,000 for 10 rare).
Fusion Point(s)
(合成pt)
Disposable yet mandatory units for card fusions or awakenings. Each action requires an assorted number of these points to be completed.
Card(s)
(札)
Cards for each deck. Current inventory stock and maximum values are labeled.
Friend(s)
(友人)
Number of other players befriended. Befriending players opens opportunities to call for aid during events or normal vengeful spirit fights. Each friend grants five parameter points which can alter the first three stats. Maximum capacity increases by one per level.

Cards must be collected and must be assigned to each player's Attack or Defensive decks. One card can simultaneously serve in both decks as long as their Cost rating is within the avatar's current level. Cards come in three main rarity levels: Normal (N), Rare (R), and Super Rare (SR). Reserve cards can either be sacrificed in a fusion for a better card or exchanged for other consumables. If the player receives an exact duplicate of a card, they can be awakened four times (indicated by the number of +) to offer better Attack and Defense stats.

Aside from using gacha points, players can participate in limited events to earn new cards. Dedicated players may receive tickets for particularly rare gacha dispensers. Players who wish to spend digital currency (Mobage Coins) can draw from the Eight Guardian roulette for precious cards. Eight Guardian cards of any rarity include a unique short voice clip. Muting the game's sound icon will not affect the voice clip since individual muting options are available per card. These messages can be heard any time the card is within the player's current inventory.

Experience is earned by completing main story events in the "Story" tab. Chapters are divided into four sub-sections, and players roll a dice to complete each section's progress bar. A vengeful spirit challenges the party, and defeating it secures passage to the next sub-section. Guardians can escort the protagonist, and their mood affects battle performance. End chapter bosses trigger singular battle sequences, and befriending another player can help. Guilds unlock areas to restore guardians' mood and unlock special events. Guardian avatars can be altered, and items can be purchased at the shop. Free players earn crystals by sacrificing R cards or performing well in their guilds, while digital currency spenders can purchase exclusive holiday or character themed sets.

Personal Routes[]

The romance route of each guardian is influenced by two parameters: Intimate Feelings and Heart Pieces. The player can find the guardian's Heart Pieces through chance, and can increase affection by giving them a favored present, visiting a guild, or participating in PvP battles. Romance routes are linked to main story chapters, and collecting Heart Pieces for later chapters increases intimacy rating. Limited-time romance events have unique two or three-parter event chains, with individual character routes requiring trinkets.

Akram's events are always timed campaigns. They require the protagonist to expend a separate "Spiritual Energy" (神気) parameter which only appears for his romance events. His personal story can be unlocked once the protagonist has gathered enough Demon Gems for each level. New chapters are announced with the game's updates section. The player's previous progress is saved between each campaign.

If the player wishes to view an earned romance or story event again, they can do so for free through the event gallery menu. Akram's events are listed within the priestess's collection like the console games.

Characters[]

Every character and the Maihitoyo characters —sans Suefumi— return in standard character events. Various characters who made appearances in other media finally make their on-screen game debut (Kotengu, Seri, etc.). This section aims to include the major characters who are introduced in the social game.

  • Youko
  • Mamedamuki

Differences between ports[]

  • Mobage users can freely reuse and transfer their player data between the Yahoo!Japan account yet key discrepancies exist between them.
  • Mobage users can access an auction, where they can post cards or items for sale and receive crystals if accepted by another user.
  • Gift giving and receiving between players is exclusive to Mobage users.
  • GUI is slightly different between both versions.
