Hideyuki Tanaka (田中 秀幸, Tanaka Hideyuki November 12, 1950 in Ota, Tokyo) is a Japanese actor, voice actor, and narrator, affiliated with Aoni Production. Born in Ota, Tokyo, Tanaka has been a fan of radio dramas since childhood. He prefers quiet or shy characters and is introverted, often answering interviews with short grunts.
In spite of his preferences, he has voiced a wide variety of characters in the Japanese entertainment industry. A few of his characters include Falco from the Fist of the North Star TV series, Otacon from the Metal Gear Solid series, and Leo Aiolia in the Saint Seiya series. Tanaka is also active in Japanese dubbing for overseas media such as Pierce Brosnan's James Bond films, Liu Bei in Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and Colonel William Guile in the TV Asahi dub of Street Fighter.
