Hiroaki Hirata (平田 広明, Hirata Hiroaki, born August 7, 1963 in Tokyo) is a Japanese voice actor and the founder of Hirata Production. He initially performed on stage for the Theatre Company Subaru, but decided to take up voice acting at the suggestion of his manager at the time. Having found his big break, he later won "Best Lead Actor" during the 6th Seiyu Awards.
Hirata is well-known by fans for his mature and comical male roles. He has voiced Leomon in Digimon, Benny in Black Lagoon, and Lindow Amamiya in God Eater. He is also the official dub artist for Johnny Depp and Matt Damon.
