Nagamasu Oda is one of Nobunaga's younger brothers. He loved tea and was known as a tea master associated with Sen no Rikyū, becomming one of the Ten Philosophers of Rikyū. He managed to escape the capital during the horrific events of Honnō-ji. After Rikyū died, he served the Toyotomi. At Sekigahara, he went with the Eastern Army, then at Ōsaka, he broke off from the militant Toyotomi loyalists. He left Ōsaka before the summer engagement.

The Nobunaga no Yabou 201X poll for 3-star officers puts him in ninety-ninth place.

Role in Games[]

In Samurai Warriors 4, at Honnoji, at the early stages of the incident, Nagamasu and Gen'i Maeda will race to get reinforcements. At Mount Tenmoku, Nagamasu will be part of 's ambush party near the end of the stage. Even if the player doesn't stop them, reinforcements will be too late to save Nobunaga. He also serves as an enemy at Kuzegawa. At Sekigahara, players on the Western Side must cover Yoshihiro's advance by taking out Nagamasu.

In Saihai no Yukue, Nagamasu serves as an Eastern Army officer.

In Pokémon Conquest, Nagamasu utilizes Grass Dragon Petilil types.

His childhood name is Gengorō (源五郎) and was a 11th son of Oda Nobuhide and is known as a student of Rikyū in his new name is Urakusai (有楽斎). In 1574, he received the Chita district in Owari and the construction of Ōkusa Castle. He was later commissioned to serve Oda Nobutada and acted a battle against Takeda Katsuyori in Kōshū Campaign.

During the event at Honnō-ji. He is one of the vassals of Nobutada who lives in Nijō Castle but he was able to survive the event and fled to Gifu Castle. He then joined Oda Nobukatsu and collaborated with Tokugawa in battle against Hideyoshi at Komaki-Nagakute and battle against Takigawa Kazumasu at Kanie Castle. Later, he was one of the peacemakers between Tokugawa and Toyotomi together with Sassa Narimasa. In this time that he turned to Christianity and got the name is Joan (ジョアン).

During the Sekigahara, he brought 450 soldiers to join Ieyasu and confronted against Gamō Yorisato. Before the battle in Ōsaka, he built the Kennin-ji Temple and was built tea room along with hospital. After that, he left Ōsaka and went to serve Tokugawa Hidetada. He died at the age of 74 and his family was led by his fourth son, Oda Nagamasa.
