Orochiarmy-woz

Orochi (center) and a few of his followers: Gyuki (left), Dodomeki (upper right), Da Ji (bottom right) in Musou OROCHI Z.

The Orochi army is an alliance that remains exclusive to the Warriors Orochi series. Any units in this force solely follow Orochi. In the first game, they worked on dominating the other forces. Following Orochi's defeat, the remnants of his army worked to revive their lord. They often serve as the final opponents for each force.

Japanese script names army subordinate generals after supernatural beings, ghosts, or demons, while English script uses different naming motifs, such as spiders, minerals, and snakes.

Story[]

Orochi, a malevolent entity sealed by the Mystics, is freed by Da Ji, who defeats Sun Wukong and San Zang to free him. He warps time and space to create a new world, dominating factions and becoming the undisputed ruler. However, the Three Kingdoms and Sengoku Jidai band together to stop him, leading to his death. Da Ji plans Orochi's resurrection, revives Kiyomori Taira, and befriends Himiko. When resurrected, Orochi reminisces about his second chance at life, but is stopped and possibly dies again.

Orochi's essence transformed into the Hydra, aiming to destroy the dimensional world. Kiyomori was resurrected by the Hydra, and serpent forces took over the world, killing humans. However, Kaguya's intervention mitigated the destruction. Da Ji and Kiyomori reformed the demon army, and Zeus brought it back. Da Ji and Kiyomori partnered with Odin to revive Orochi X, but the real Orochi was revived elsewhere. The Demon army stationed at Olympus, but the real Orochi arrived and eliminated Orochi X. Da Ji and Kiyomori aided Orochi in resisting the humans before his death.

Knowing that Odin's plans for Ragnarok includes the destruction of everything except for himself, the Demon army opts to join the Coalition after their defeat, not wanting to get caught up until their lord's next revival.
