Yosuke Hayashi (早矢仕 洋介, Hayashi Yousuke, born February 9, 1979) is a video game producer and director employed by Koei Tecmo. He is in charge of overseeing the development of titles created by one of their game studios Team NINJA.
When Hayashi was in elementary school, he was interested at the thought of making his own games after playing the Famicom port of Nobunaga's Ambition. He often wondered what it would be like to meet the creators of his favorite titles at the time. This led him to pursue a career in video game design and join Tecmo later on. There, he accumulated the necessary skills and experience to become a producer in his own right, especially after the departure of Team NINJA's former head Tomonobu Itagaki. He is also a part of Koei Tecmo's board of directors.
As a producer, Hayashi relates how it takes much effort and human labor to create a single game. He emphasizes the importance of cooperation for the team to work well, stating that leaders need to make their vision clear to motivate staff members well. This includes pitching ideas that make games more interesting to their fan base. For those interested in becoming game developers, he eagerly hopes that they will be able to take on the challenge of producing memorable titles while working together with those who share their passion.
