Mipha, the Zora Princess is a battle that takes place during Princess Zelda's attempt to recruit a Zora pilot for the Divine Beast Vah Ruta. During the attack, a desperate search for Sidon is undertaken, as he is still a small boy, and shouldn't be on the battlefield. When the numbers of Calamity prove too much for the Zora, Mipha assumes command of Vah Ruta and saves the day.
Role in Games[]
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity begins Mipha, the Zora Princess with Zelda meeting with King Dorephan, ruler of the Zoras. Zelda believes that Mipha would be a perfect fit for the Divine Beast Vah Ruta, but Doraphan is hesitant. He doesn't want to risk his daughter's life, especially when the prophesied knight to oppose Ganon had yet to make himself known. Doraphan believes they have more time as that knight must appear to stop the great Calamity. Their negotiations are cut short at the word of forces of Calamity descending upon Zora's Domain.
During this discussion, Link visits with Mipha, his old childhood friend. As Mipha remenisises, word is brought of the impending attack and they become aware that no one currently knows Sidon's location. The heroes quickly set out into the fray of battle, seeking to find Sidon.
The battle begins on the Great Zora Bridge, with Mipha rushing to rescue the Zora Captains desperately trying to hold off the vanguard forces of Calamity. Mipha will heal these captains as they’re rescued, but none of them knows where Sidon has gone. When an electric Moblin appears in the south, Link, Mipha, and their allies are drawn away from Zora's Domain. This weakness is taken advantage of by the second wave of Calamity forces, as they appear and rush towards the Zora headquarters.
As these new foes are defeated, Mipha hears from a Zora Captain that Sidon was last seen heading towards Ploymus Mountain, where the Lynel was also last seen. Mipha and her allies make their way up the mountainside and find the young prince attempting to fight the ferocious beast. The heroes manage to slay the Lynel, only to see from their vantage point that many more waves of the forces of calamity are approaching, far too many for the Zora to defeat on their own.
Mipha agrees to pilot Vah Ruta without her father's permission and takes down the overwhelming forces of Calamity. She even destroys dozens of Lynels at once, compared to the difficulty they had in handling just one of the monsters. After the battle, King Dorephan agrees to let Mipha be a proper pilot, as he sees no other way to stop Ganon. He just asks that Mipha returns home safely afterwards.
Korok Seeds[]

Map of where every Korok Seed can be found
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity has hidden Koroks to be found across the battlefield. They hide in different, simple interactive points, paying homage to Breath of the Wild's own small challenges to collect the seeds. Zora's Domain has four seeds to be found.
- Back up the stairs of Zora's Domain, overlooking the plaza. A target balloon needs to be broken for the Korok to show himself.
- Also within the main area of Zora's Domain, in the east shop area, next to some breakable vases. Look for a pinwheel to be interacted with.
- To the east of the southeast garrison, in a small grassy patch beside the Zora structure serving as the garrison. This Korok appears after interacting with his pinwheel.
- In the northwest, there is a dip in the path, at the southernmost point of this dip is where the Korok can be found. He is hiding in a flower.
Origins[]
Age of Calamity draws its inspiration for this battle directly from Breath of the Wild. Zora's Domain is the focal point of Mipha, the Zora Princess. The lengthy bridge to the city's south is the Great Zora Bridge. Ruto Lake and Zora River run through the battlefield, but not in the exact same pattern. A second connecting bridge to the Great Zora Bridge adds another route to Ralis Pond and the Veiled Falls in the west. The Zodobon Highlands make up the southern tip of the battlefield, connecting back to the east through Oren Bridge and Luto's Crossing.
Ruto Mountain and Precipice makes up the eastern side of the map, eventually climbing up the mountainside to the top of Ploymus Mountain, where a respawning Lynel, often a player's first encounter with a Lynel, can be found. The battle's boss Lynel can be found at the same location. When Mipha launches Vah Ruta, she marches down Rutala River, which runs parallel to the basin that houses Zora's Domain.
